What is Biofeedback?
In Biofeedback, we use instruments like computers, to measure and feedback changes in your body.
This means that like a mirror, biofeedback instruments let you see what you are doing on the outside (like posture- are you holding yourself in an odd position, are you breathing with your abdomen or you chest etc?.) but they also let you see what you are doing internally (say your pulse, how much you sweat etc.).
Muscle tension, heart rate, brainwaves or the way you breathe are just some of the attributes that can accurately be seen and changed. (For an official definition and more information on how it all works click HERE.)
You easily see that you can affect your reactions by altering the way you
think, feel, sit, stand or breathe.
